6. What are the pressure limits of the "Yellow Jacket" Weather Cap?
NONE. However, PVC solvents and acrylic or polymer paints applied to the exhaust pipe prior to installation of the "Yellow Jacket", and NOT YET CURED, is likely to cause bonding of the product to the paint.
7. If the “Yellow Jacket” bonds with the exhaust pipe will it rupture under pressure?
PERHAPS. So, do not apply the "Yellow Jacket" to fresh or uncured paint. If bonded to the pipe, it may rupture in the 20-PSI range. The greater the diameter of the Weather Cap the less pressure required to cause rupture or removal.
8. Are Weather Caps available without the lanyard attachment?
NO. However, the lanyard attachment may be easily removed.
9. Will the lanyard/anchor ring device prevent loss of the "Yellow Jacket"?
YES. With reasonable PSI the lanyard restraint assures the customer that the "Yellow Jacket" Weather Cap will remain on the exhaust pipe instead of becoming a capricious dangerous missile.
10. Does exposure to high sulfur-content compounds affect the "Yellow Jacket" Weather Cap?
NO. The only chemicals with the possibility of affecting the function of the "Yellow Jacket" are, Benzene, Acetone and Trichloroethylene.
